Sidney Shannon Jr. founded Shannon Airport in 1950. Shannon was an entrepreneur and aviation enthusiast. Among his collection of rare aircraft was a 1927 Curtiss Robin. His hangar for the aircraft was nicknamed "The Robin's Nest." That very hangar is now the Robin's Nest Cafe! You can see the 1927 Curtiss Robin and the rest of the Shannon collection at the Shannon Air Museum.
We would love to serve you in our dining area or on the porch with a great view of the runway. Enjoy your meal with a front row seat to watch airplanes land and takeoff! If you just want to grab a quick bite, we provide food for takeout also.
Stop in for the best Cuban sandwich in town and a hand-spun milkshake. We serve a variety of burgers, sandwiches, salads, Hershey's Ice Cream, and much more!
